Moments of interest

That lady there! She saw me! In my frilly clothes
But then she sees my accessories and then up goes her nose
Then that boy! He looked at me! He saw my shiny things!
But his attention's quickly grabbed by the annoying rats with wings
"Please look! Please look!" I plead and plead! "Its all I ever ask!"
Every day you look at me, I  again fulfill my task!
A moment of interest! It's all I want! Its what keeps me alive!
And everyday I try ceaselessly! For this I always strive
The glint in the eye! A spark of impress!
Oh could it be? You like my dress!
The customer enters, my garbs are exchanged!
The teller counts it up "And here's exact change!"
She bought it she bought it! I truly am the best!
But now, without my flashy clothes, I'm no different then the rest…
